Aeolian Dominant (Hindu Scale)

The Aeolian Dominant scale is similar to the Aeolian mode except the fifth, the third note in the scale, is raised one semi-step. This scale is also often referred to as Hindu Scale, and therefore suitable for playing Indian music.

The Aeolian mode could also be compared to the Mixolydian mode with the sixth note flatten. The scale also includes a minor seventh, which is the reason for it being called "dominant".
