Mixolydian Hexatonic Scale
The Mixolydian Hexatonic Scale deviates from the Mixolydian by missing the third interval. The lack of a third interval makes it ambiguous in the sense it has neither major nor minor sound. Mixolydian Hexatonic consists of six notes, thus the name hexatonic.
Also notice the close relationship to the Dorian. As for the distinction with Mixolydian, the only difference is the missing third. Whereas the third is a minor interval in Dorian, it is a major interval in Mixolydian.
